May 28: Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury
Venus and Jupiter are closing rapidly toward their June 8 conjunction, and for the
next three weeks, Mercury joins the scene, although well off to the lower right of
the brighter planets.

May 19: Venus, Moon, and Jupiter
The crescent Moon fit nicely in between Venus and Jupiter on this fine evening, with
the two planets on either side of the constellation of the twins, Gemini.

May 18: Venus and Moon
On the last night of my return trip from Texas, from extreme southwestern Virginia
near Abingdon, I found a break in the clouds to snap a pic of Venus and the crescent
Moon at 200 mm.

May 15 - 16: Planets at Dusk and Dawn
I bracketed a very nice night of astronomy from west central Texas, capturing images
of Venus and Jupiter on the evening of May 15, followed by an image of Saturn and Mars
on the morning of May 16. Somewhere sandwiched in there was a rather uncomfortable
night of sleeping in the Eurovan LOL.

May 15: Venus and Jupiter
Detailed views of Venus' position in Taurus, as well as Jupiter's position in Gemini,
were obtained from the west central desert of Texas near Fort Lancaster. The
specific location was on the top rim of the bluff or cliff overlooking the Pecos
River valley.

May 8: Jupiter and Venus
Venus is gaining altitude each day, while Jupiter slowly sinks back into the Sun. Here
we see them over a west-looking field adjacent to the Wilderness Battlefield.
