Jupiter continues to move eastward in Gemini, slowly pulling away from δ Geminorum and heading towards a point south of Pollux that will be where Venus catches up to him for their conjunction.  Jupiter shines at magnitude -1.99 this evening, just for the first time during this apparition falling below the -2.00 mark.  Unannotated image.
