This is my first view of Saturn and Mars in the morning sky since their respective solar conjunctions several months ago. Virginia has been too cloudy and foggy to allow any opportunities to catch them, so I had to wait until I went to Texas to achieve the combination of higher ecliptic angle, clearer skies, and flatter horizons LOL. Here we see Saturn moving through Cetus for a short time, while Mars has almost reached the border of Aries. This picture was taken from the side of Interstate 10 west of Sonora. Unannotated image. |
