September 27
My friend Mike Menke sent me this great picture of Venus over the Neckar River
in Tübingen, Germany early that morning.

September 19
Mercury temporarily joins Venus in the morning sky for a nice apparition.

September 16
I finally got a picture of Jupiter and Uranus in eastern Aries just after midnight on
the 16th of September, still more than a month prior to their respective oppositions,
which means that they have already begun retrograding.

September 12
Comet Nishimura is too low in the morning twilight to see any more (on this date it is
only 14° from the Sun), so we have to console ourselves with a nice view of Venus
and the Moon widely separated on either side of the ecliptic.

September 9
Although my attempt to catch Comet Nishimura this morning basically failed, I did get a
nice shot of Venus still in the immediate vicinity of M67 and α Cancri
along with a thunderstorm in the distance. The few pixels I was able to record of
Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) are shown in the second picture LOL.

September 1
We finally got clear skies in the morning, allowing us to catch Venus rising before
sunrise after her inferior conjunction of August 13.
