November Highlight is the Lunar Eclipse

November 28

Mars is only 3 days away from its "nearest to Earth" point in this opposition season, and only 10 days from opposition in Taurus.

November 25

A double treat on this Friday after Thanksgiving!  To begin with, we got our first glimpse of Venus in this evening apparition that is destined to last until August 2023, and then we were treated to a beautiful crescent Moon over the western horizon.

November 8

In the early morning hours of November 8, starting around 4:00 a.m., we enjoyed an excellent total eclipse of the Moon low in the western sky, in the constellation Aries.  Uranus was close by, but not close enough for me to capture with the Moon centered in my telescope.

November 3

Nice gibbous Moon on a beautifully clear Thursday evening.  Total lunar eclipse coming up in 4 days!
