November 3
The gas giants are strung out along the ecliptic from almost Capricornus to
almost Taurus on this chilly November evening. Saturn is in western
Aquarius, effectively stationary tonight as it resumes prograde motion tomorrow;
Neptune is near the Pisces-Aquarius border but not pictured here, and finally Jupiter
and Uranus are situated in central to eastern Aries. Jupiter just passed through
opposition about 20 hours ago.
