January 19: Venus and Neptune in Aquarius

January 1: Venus in Capricornus
Venus starts the year in Capricornus as it ascends ever higher throughout the winter and spring until about end of April, when it will slowly begin falling and then in the second half of May begin to sink precipitously towards its inferior conjunction in June. This moderately telephoto view shows the exact position of Venus among the fainter stars of central Capricornus. |
