August 18 Well, it turns out the August 12 image was not the last shot I got of Mars LOL. Here we have another attempt at a movie of the setting Moon, this time paired with Mars as it sets over the omnipresent electrical transmission lines to my west. |

August 12 This may be the last image I get of Mars in the evening sky during this apparition since it is getting lower and lower every evening and also is not very bright, being at this stage only magnitude +1.8 or so, which would place it around the brightness of the Dubhe in Ursa Major. |
