June 25
I tried to capture several images of the morning planet parade and
stitch them together into a panorama,
but it didn't work well,
so I am reduced to again showing separate images of each planet group
now, which is Saturn on the right, Jupiter and Mars in the middle,
and Venus (now with the Moon) on the left. I didn't wait long
enough for Mercury to rise and join Venus this time.

June 18
After weeks of typical summer weather, that is hazy, humid, murky skies every
night, we finally experienced beautifully clear, crisp weather on this Saturday
morning. The planets were arrayed all across the eastern sky, although
the waning gibbous Moon was near Saturn, so I didn't get a shot that included
Saturn this time. Mercury was just over the eastern horizon and still
fairly dim, so it's hard to see in the image!
