Minor Planets, August 2019 Three asteroids were visible in the summer of 2019, but only two were bright enough for me to catch on this image of Capricornus and western Aquarius. Laetitia and Psyche were near opposition around this time. The two images differ only in the amount of annotation. |

Jupiter and Saturn came to opposition only about a month apart, on opposite sides of the Milky Way. The opportunities are rare to get pics of the summer constellations from central Virginia owing to the haze and humidity. | |
