In the morning sky, Jupiter and Saturn continue to dominate the ecliptic to the left, or east of the Milky Way.  We are in the middle of the time when both outer gas giants are near their respective stationary points; Saturn has already begun retrograde motion, while Jupiter still has a few days to go before turning around and retrograding back toward Saturn.

This evening Venus shone brightly (albeit alone) in the evening twilight, while Mars is closing in on its straight-line post with Castor and Pollux, although fading each day.
