NGC 3177 in Leo
Date of Obs ..... March 5, 2021 |
NGC 3177 is south of NGC 3162 and also pretty easy to find since it is just west of the line connecting Algieba with ζ. I found it to be not difficult at 76x with averted vision, but upping the power to 123x I was able to use direct vision and noted that it was a small hazy spot, very clearly non stellar. I thought I could detect an east-west orientation to the object. Similar to the situation with the previous object, I don't see that the reference image I have shows any significant orientation to the object. |
