NGC 2855 is a galaxy in Hydra just to the south-southwest of the alpha star of the constellation, Alphard.  Because it is located just to the east of one of the main stars of an easily identifiable pattern that begins west of Alphard, it was easy to find the galaxy.  And not only was it easy to locate the position, it was easy to see as well ~ scanning at 76x led me to pick up the galaxy without knowing its exact position.  With direct vision, I could see some degree of concentration in the area of its core, along with gradually decreasing nebulosity around it.  I did not find it to be a large galaxy, so it must have a high surface brightness.
