This object was barely visible to me on this evening. I thought it had a very low surface brightness, therefore averted vision was required for me to see it. I could not detect any structure, however I am confident of the identification because the scene in my eyepiece was an exact match with my reference image. Despite it being located in a rather remote area, triangulating to the location was pretty easy and then the stars in the immediate vicinity were easy to hop through to get to the galaxy. |
