Here we are looking at the western portion of Cassiopeia, focused on the area around β Cass; the showpiece deep sky object in the vicinity is the open cluster NGC 7789, but eight other NGC clusters are indicated on the image as well. The area to the upper right of NGC 7790 appears to very clearly be home to a group of dark nebulae, detectble from the obscuration of the star clouds in that region. Unannotated image. |
