I attempted to image the Rosette Nebula with film in late 2005, and unfortunately the tracking was not very good, resulting in significant trailing on this image. Nevertheless, the film responded very well to the deep red emission from doubly ionized Hydrogen in the nebula. Although I didn't make a record of it, my guess is that this was at least a five minute exposure and processed at ISO 1600. Unannotated image, Back to Constellations |
