In late 2005 and early 2006, Venus passed through inferior conjunction in northeastern
Sagittarius, right around the time that my daughter Christa was born, so this is probably
the first astro-image I captured after her arrival. Compare this scene to early 2022,
two 8-year cycles (16 years) after this event in January 2006.
At the time of this picture on slide film, we capture Venus near the stationary point
in its orbit ~ after this date, it resumes eastward motion against the stars.
