Mars is almost at its opposition point for this extremely good Aries opposition.  It has reached a diameter of slightly over 20" arcseconds and stayed there for about a week, affording telescopic viewers a good opportunity to inspect the planet for surface features and atmospheric phenomena.  This shot was probably taken with my 50 mm lens, piggybacked on my C8 to track for a few minutes.
