Venus is concluding its morning apparition in 2001, which lasted from its inferior conjunction in early April in Pisces until now, and which will continue for a few more months prior to its superior conjunction in early 2002. Here, Venus is located in western Libra, shining at magnitude -3.93, which we are seeing from the Chiefland Astronomy Village at a latitude of 29°24', which results in a sky that appears tilted over to the left compared to our typical view from central Virginia.
