This picture was taken in Colorado and shows Saturn one week before its opposition, which will occur just barely in Aquarius, right on the border with Capricornus.  Here we see Saturn at magnitude +0.37 because its rings are narrower than average, so not as bright as it usually is around opposition.  This is the first of three years in which opposition occurs in Aquarius, after which the planet won't return to these skies until 2022.
