Yesterday, September 8, Jupiter was occulted by the Moon in mid-afternoon here in central Virginia, an event which I was unable to see due to high clouds (I did manage to observe the Moon and Jupiter with binoculars high in the sky several hours prior to the occultation).  Fifteen hours later, we have this scene the following morning.  Jupiter is still in Cancer and the Moon has moved into Leo.   Unannotated image.
