Jupiter is going to be in Cancer and Leo during its opposition season from September 2026 through July 2027.  The King of Planets is now rising over two hours before the Sun, allowing us to see it low in the east in a dark sky.  We are only a few days, perhaps a week, before we see the main star of Leo, Regulus, joining the scene below Jupiter.  The foreground we see is of Potomac Creek from a point near Belle Plains Marina.   Unannotated image.
