Venus continues to pull away from Jupiter, on this evening passing directly through the northern fringes of M44, the Beehive Cluster in Cancer. The distance between fading Mercury and Jupiter is still slowly diminishing as Jupiter sinks deeper into the twilight each evening. Venus is magnitude -4.03, Jupiter shines at -1.85, and Mercury is noticeably fainter at magnitude +0.92 (which still keeps it far brighter than Pollux, but less prominent due to being lower in the twilight).
