Despite a mostly cloudy sky following our afternoon thunderstorms, a small window opened up in the west to give us a view of the more evenly strung out planets in Gemini and Cancer. Venus is now about half way to the Beehive Cluster, and shines at magnitude -4.01; Jupiter is inching closer to the border with Cancer and has faded to -1.86, while Mercury has faded significantly, shining now only at +0.51.
