Venus continues to move eastward north of the ecliptic toward Jupiter, closing the gap on the King of Planets, while far to the lower right, Mercury continues to gain elongation and altitude as it too moves eastward rapidly.  On this evening, Venus was magnitude -3.99, Jupiter is magnitude -1.91, and Mercury is fainter at magnitude -0.38, with the gap between Jupiter and Mercury being 21°54'42" wide.  Unannotated image.
