Comet C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS) is approaching its perihelion as well as the point at which it will be closest to Earth in early April 2026.  On this morning which still has a last quarter Moon low in the southern sky, we see the comet rising about three hours before the Sun within the confines of the great square of Pegasus.  This image is a stack of 17 1-second images with a 200 mm lens.  The tail is faint but car barely be seen oriented in a 1 o'clock position.  Unannotated image
