Jupiter has been slowly accelerating in its eastward, or prograde, motion in central Gemini.  Jupiter is magnitude -2.22 this evening.  The next major planetary event for Jupiter is coming in June when Venus passes by and they reprise their conjunction of June 3, 2002.  Unannotated image.
