Venus has been gradually gaining in altitude with each passing day, but it is still very low.  This is probably the last day that we can still see Saturn, now to the lower left of Venus.  Venus is magnitude -3.91 and Saturn +0.97.  From this point, Venus will achieve a moderate altitude in the evening sky throughout the spring, and then during the summer it will move farther away from the Sun but actually get lower as the summer moves into autumn.  Unannotated image.
