In mid-evening during early December, the portion of the sky in which Saturn and Neptune currently reside is sloping over to the west, still fairly high but also definitely heading into the final phase of its visibility before the Sun catches up to it.  Saturn, at magnitude +1.08, continues to occupy eastern Aquarius, while Neptune at magnitude +7.87 remains in Pisces.  Saturn has resumed eastward motion against the stars, whereas tonight Neptune is at the stationary point in its orbit, meaning that it will resume prograde (eastward) motion tomorrow.  Unannotated image.
