Mercury continues to hug the western horizon after sunset, but is now somewhat easier to observe than it was in mid October.  The winged messenger has zipped all the way into Scorpius and is approaching the star Antares.  On this evening, Mercury shines at magnitude -0.01, which is on a par with Arcturus or Vega, and is 23°07'57" from the Sun.  Unannotated image.
