Saturn and Neptune remain close together in southwestern Pisces, as we can see in this deeper image than I usually take. I used a tracking platform for 20 seconds which resulted in a field packed with stars that is actually rather sparse. The two planets are only 1°42'28" apart. This image is typical of modern digital renditions of the sky, in that thousands of faint stars are captured but the brightest stars barely stand out from the thousands of dim ones.
