From a location on the western shore of Lake George in Bolton Landing, New York, we were able to see three planets in an uneven line.  Venus and Jupiter still form a nice duo in Gemini, but they are now joined by Mercury in Cancer, which we see just barely rising above the distant ridgeline.  Venus is magnitude -3.97, Jupiter is at magnitude -1.97, while Mercury checks in at magnitude +0.54, which makes it slightly dimmer than Procyon at +0.40.
