Venus is moving eastward along the horns of Taurus on its way to rendevous with Jupiter in about three weeks.  Venus' elongation is still shrinking slightly while its elevation grows owing to the changing angle of the ecliptic as the summer continues.  Venus is at magnitude -4.04 this morning.  Unannotated image.
