Mars spent quite a bit of time at the tail end of its retrograde loop making a slowly changing triangle with Castor and Pollux, but now is finally beginning to accelerate his eastward motion, and will soon be barreling toward the Beehive Cluster, M44 in Cancer.  Mars has dimmed considerably, down to +0.35, which still makes it much brighter than the heavenly twins, however.  Unannotated image
