Mercury and Venus are now the "it pair" of planets in the evening since Saturn has departed.  They are moving rapidly toward each other and as we can see from the annotations of the image, Mercury is now also well above the ecliptic, although not to the same extent as Venus.  Venus is magnitude -4.54 and is now a huge 50.17" in diameter; Mercury is also fading, now at -0.88, which makes it still brighter than all stars except for Sirius.  They are a little over 13° apart.   Unannotated image.
