Jupiter in Taurus and Uranus in Aries continue to retrograde for a short while longer. In this view from about 9:30 p.m. local time in central Virginia, which is 2:30 UT on 23 January, we are looking almost straight up at Taurus, but just enough off of the zenith that it appears to be leaning over to the west. Jupiter is magnitude -2.63 while Uranus is much dimmer at magnitude +5.68. Unannotated image. |
