Wide angle view of Boötes and Corona Borealis as they rise in the early evening spring sky; if you look east and up about half-way to the zenith, you will see the bright star Arcturus (it should look somewhat more yellow/orange/red than most other stars).  The pattern in this part of the sky that is most prominent to me is formed from the star Muphrid to the upper right of Arcturus, then Izar to the left of Arcturus, and then along a line that is parallel to the Arcturus-Muphrid line, go to the lower left of Izar to Alphecca.  That brings you to the semi-circle of stars that make up Corona Borealis.  I created a more detailed finder chart in January.
