| On this warm and calm early autumn evening, we see Saturn and Neptune in western Aquarius and western Pisces, respectively, 24°33' apart. Both are still noticeably south of the ecliptic; Neptune is magnitude +7.82 and Saturn checks in at +0.56, considerably dimmer than it normally would be so soon after opposition, owing to the narrow presentation of the rings. |
