| Monday morning, February 6, 2023 was clear but with enough humidity in the air that the Moon washed out all but the brightest stars; nonetheless, we got a fairly good view of Mercury rising in the southeast over the Rappahannock River from our community boat dock. On this morning, Mercury shines at magnitude -0.12, and will continue to brighten as it falls farther and farther back toward the Sun. |
