Mars is almost two weeks past its opposition date and has moved almost over to the right ascension of Aldebaran.  On this date, Mars is at magnitude -1.61 (still brighter than Sirius) and has shrunk to a width of 16.23", which is still greater than it will be until April of 2031!  Uranus, meanwhile, is barely visible to the unaided eye at magnitude +5.66 and only 3.7" in diameter.
