After the conclusion of the morning planet show in June, I hardly got up early to
look at the sky any more LOL, but I did want to catch Mercury at its best apparition
of the year, so on this Saturday morning I recorded it in the western half of Virgo.
Here, Mercury is magnitude -0.91, noticeably more than its usual brightness.
As it moves eastward through Virgo, it is well north of the ecliptic.
