Venus and Jupiter on the first day of their conjunction in Pisces.  Jupiter is at magnitude -2.15 and Venus at -4.10, and according to my planetarium
software, are separated by 30' 17" on this morning.  Tomorrow morning, Venus will be to the lower left of Jupiter, with a 32' 00" separation.  The actual
conjunction will occur at 17:20 EDT, which means that people in Irkutsk, Chengdu, or Singapore should have a great view of the two planets 13' 52" apart
on the morning of May 1.
