Mercury is in the midst of an excellent evening apparition during the
month of April, on this evening appearing just below the Pleiades star
cluster. At magnitude +0.13, it is still quite bright, at an
elongation of slightly more than 20° from the Sun. I discovered
something odd when looking up the names of the Pleiads: some sources
use Caleano
whereas others use Celaeno,
while Sterope is sometimes spelled Asterope.
