Jupiter is now almost too low to image in a dark sky. On February 5, I was
able to still record some of the stars of Aquarius with Jupiter, but based on the
pinkish and purplish tones, it appears some of the dust from the Pacific volcano
is in our atmosphere now. Note also that in the upper left of this image,
Neptune can be seen as the barely visible faint dot a few pixels above the brighter
star. Compare Jupiter's position here with January
26, in particular how it is now in a line with δ and τ Aquarii.
