Jupiter and Saturn have spent the year very close together in central and eastern Sagittarius, and also in western Capricornus for a short time.  Here we see them well after their oppositions in July.  For the rest of the year, Jupiter will chase Saturn and eventually catch up with the ringed planet in December and pair up for an extremely close conjunction.  Unannotated image.
