Venus went through inferior conjunction in late October - early November and is now racing eastward toward the Sun but still very high in the winter morning sky.  Here we see it just above α Librae along with Mercury in the head of Scorpius just down in the tree; Jupiter will soon join the morning scene but as of this date he is still blocked by the houses along the horizon.  Venus is magnitude -4.57 and Mercury is -0.44, so still quite bright.
