The morning planet scene in the fall of 2015 is even more interesting than the evening show was in the spring.  Here we see Mars and Jupiter very close together in eastern Leo, along with Mercury well below them in Virgo.  I had to use a wide angle lens to capture all three.  Jupiter is magnitude -1.79, Mars is magnitude +1.75, and Mercury is magnitude -0.43.  I don't think I've ever known Mars to be that faint!   Unannotated image
