I was at the Chiefland Astronomy Village in April 2012 and got this twilight picture of Jupiter in Aries. This is after the nice conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in March and you can still see a diffraction spike from Venus which is just off the top edge of the picture, above the Pleiades. Jupiter is magnitude -2.05 on this date. Compare this view with a similar view 12 years later, on April 13, 2024. |
