In February 2024, we had a nice view of the southern winter Milky Way from Cedar Key, Florida.  On this evening, the waxing gibbous Moon was one day more full and brighter than for the images obtained on the 19th, but at this time of night, we had a better view of the constellation Vela, which represents the celestial sails of the ship Argo Navis.  It is seemingly appropriate to have a boat in the water in the foreground, but owing to the shallow waters around Cedar Key, there are almost no sailboats there, so you rarely see a terrestrial example of Vela's sail.  This image very favorably presents a stellar grouping that has always made a strong impression on me when viewing this part of the sky, namely the triangle made by ζ Puppis along with γ and λ Velorum, which I have highlighted here.  It really strikes me as a sail (easier to envision than the entire constellation of Vela) arcing across the sky throughout the night.
