In February 2024, we had a nice view of the southern spring Milky Way from Cedar Key, Florida.  A constellation that we cannot see very well from Virginia and that occupies the space between Centaurus and Scorpius is Lupus the wolf.  Lupus has a considerable number of moderately bright stars scattered across its area; they are not quite as bright as those of Centaurus and Scorpius but always seemed to me to form a star-bridge of above-average brightness between its two neighbors.  Stars labeled.  Unfortunately, from Cedar Key, the view to the south-southeast is marred by the light dome from distant Tampa / St. Petersburg.
